2018 OkMOM Call for Volunteers

Volunteers of all backgrounds are needed for the ninth
annual Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) on February 2-3, 2018, at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant.

This two-day clinic is designed to meet the critical needs of people of all ages by providing donated dental care to as many adults and children as time, volunteers and supplies will allow. OkMOM offers a variety of services such as cleanings, fillings, extractions and limited dental flippers (temporary replacement of front teeth). Treatment is given on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no eligibility or income requirement to seek treatment. Continue reading 2018 OkMOM Call for Volunteers

Delta Dental of Oklahoma Wins 2017 Beacon Award

Delta Dental of Oklahoma (DDOK) was awarded a 2017 Beacon Award at an awards luncheon hosted by The Journal Record in Downtown Oklahoma City. DDOK was named the overall winner in the Philanthropic Impact Category for Medium Business for its contribution to the Delta Dental Cavity Prevention Clinic (CPC). The program provides dental sealants to second and sixth grade students in low-income schools. Continue reading

Good Shepherd Clinic receives donation from Bank of America in response to challenge grant from Delta Dental of Oklahoma’s Foundation

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has donated $7,500 to the Good Shepherd Clinic in response to a challenge grant awarded by DDOK Oral Health Foundation.

Delta Dental of Oklahoma’s Oral Health Foundation will match this and every qualified donation raised from now until the end of the year through awarded a $50,000 challenge grant to Good Shepherd clinic. Funds raised will be used to further Good Shepherd Ministries’ mission to provide free compassionate care to uninsured Oklahomans.

3M Donates Fluoride Varnish

Our Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation has received enough fluoride varnish to treat 1,000 children through its Cavity Prevention Clinic program, which provides preventive dental services to students at low-income schools.

Delta Dental Cavity Prevention Clinic Conducted in Tulsa

Students are receiving sealants through the Delta Dental Cavity Prevention Clinic for the first time in Tulsa. These sealants, a clear plastic coating that goes on molars, prevent 80 percent of cavities in the back teeth.

Free Two-Day Dental Clinic in Woodward – February 3 and 4, 2017

Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation is proud to be a co-producer at the eighth annual Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) at the Woodward County Events Center on February 3 and 4, 2017. Volunteers will transform the space into a fully-functional dental facility offering a variety of services including cleanings, fillings, extractions and anterior root canals at no cost to patients.
