Oklahoma Mission of Mercy provides free dental care to 1,576 patients

The Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation is built upon the premise that no one should have to live with dental pain. That’s why we partner with the Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation every year to offer free dental care at Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM).

This year, OkMOM celebrated its seventh year providing free dental care to people of all ages. On February 5-6 the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City was transformed into a fully-functional dental facility with around 2,000 dental professionals and lay volunteers offering a variety of services including cleanings, fillings, extractions and anterior root canals at no cost to patients.

OkMOM is a life-changing event for many because about half of Oklahomans lack dental insurance. This year, 1,576 patients received 11,027 procedures, totaling $1,716,687 in donated dental care.
